Due to the ongoing impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, on April 30th Little League International made the difficult but necessary decision to cancel its World Series and Regional tournaments for the first time in the organization's history. We want to emphasize that this in no way prevents local leagues from conducting a regular season when possible, adhering to all local and state health and safety requirements and procedures. Once we are advised it is safe for our players and families to resume baseball and softball activities, we will work to make this possible. Please stay in touch with your league for further information as it becomes available.

As a result of the restrictions and precautions currently in place, the Virginia State Little League Association has decided that no State All Star Tournaments will be conducted in 2020. District 9 will be working with leagues to create opportunities for some form of local tournament activity for all our players this year, if possible.

We appreciate the commitment of the thousands of families to our programs, as well as your support and understanding as we work to safely navigate this pandemic.
